As Lithuania is commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Day of the Defenders of Freedom, a raft of events are scheduled to symbolize the resilience, kindness, and unity of the defenders in the country.

The event will feature commemorative speeches delivered by the witnesses of the history-defining day of January 13, 1991 and will invite one to taste porridge that the Lithuanian conscripts are being fed;

Works of animalistic theme of the 17th and 19th centuries (pictures, graphics, and sculptures) are exposed in the exhibition. The works are taken from the Lithuanian Arts and National M. K. Čiurlionis museums and private collection of Andrejus Balyko.

The exhibition presents works of art by O. Boznańsko, J. Fałato, A. Gierymski, J. Mehoffer, F. Ruszczyc, J. Stanisławski, W. Weiss, and a number of other famous painters representing art of the «Young Poland» period. Over 150 examples of painting, graphics, sculpture and applied art are displayed.

The international exhibition of Scagliola art works from the Bianco Bianchi collection in Florence is a joint Project by the owners of the private Bianco Bianchi collection Alessandro Bianchi and Elisabetta Bianchi, and the National Museum – Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania and the Vilnius Academy of Art.
Exhibition «Study of Collector»; the Church Heritage Museum, Šv. Mykolo g. 9, Vilnius;
The exhibition is not only a traditional showcase of exhibits, but also gives a museum visitor an opportunity to pick up some of the most important manuscripts and collections of graphics of the 18-20th centuries of the priest Pranciškus Tičkovskis’ collection: cuneiforms, postcards, manuscript books of Vilnius Bernardians, archives of Akmenynės church, stamps of graphics, prayer books and et cetera.

The exhibition presents history of Vilnius cinemas from the first public performances in the end of the 19th century to the present days. It is made of showpieces, documents, video and audio refccords kept in personal, public archives and museums.

The exhibition shows 100 best evening dresses from Alexander Vasiljev collection.
Exhibition «Shalom, Israel! The Paths of Litvak Artists»; Tolerance Centre, Naugarduko g. 10/2, Vilnius;
The exhibition presents 24 Litvak artists and 37 pieces of art that unveil the two-way development of Jewish art. It illustrates the influence Litvak art had on the art of Israel and the way nature and traditional folk art in Israel changed the artistic expression of Litvak artists. Visitors will have the possibility to admire the works of Marc Chagall, Max Band, Boris Schatz, Emmanuel Mane-Katz, Pinchus Abramovitch and the other artists.

The exhibition wraps up five years’ work by Dutch photographer Rob Hornstra and publicist Arnold van Bruggen, who have spent five years in the Caucasus shooting the life and collecting photographs, maps and other documentary materials; the exhibition reveals the history of Sochi and its vicinities, as well as showcases the transformation of the region while preparing for the Sochi Olympic Games;

Performance «The Master and Margarita»; Lithuanian National Drama Theatre, Gedimino a. 4, Vilnius;
The performance is based on the novel «The Master and Margarita» by Mikhail Bulgakov (1891–1940) written in 1929- 1940, though the text uncorrupted by censorship was first published as late as 1967 in Paris.
