46% of residents do not know about the Constitution Protection Bureau
(No Ratings Yet)Only 3% of Latvia’s economically active residents age 18 to 55 stated that they are well informed about the Constitution Protection Bureau (CPB) and its main goals.

While 46% of respondents say that they heard some things about the CPB and its main goals, shows the survey, carried out by TNS agency in cooperation with LNT television channel.
The same proportion of respondents (46%) admits that they were never interested in the CPB and its main goals.
5% of respondents do not have an opinion on this matter.

Latvian parliament's budget for 2014 is estimated around LVL 15 million
During the June 17 meeting of the Saeima Praesidium, the parliament's budget for 2014-2016 was confirmed. The parliament does not plan to increase expenses for current activities, rather divide the funding for two main budget goals – LVL 255 thousand for Latvia's presidency over the Council of the European Union and LVL 2.76 million for the reconstruction of the main building on Jekaba Street 6/8.
