March 14-20:

A young, perspective artist’s Adelė Liepa Kaunaitė exhibition of painting and poetry «The Lady, who flew to the Earth» was created at 2015-2016, after graduating from Vilnius Academy of Fine Art masters programme. Kaunaitė continues to fascinate all with her energetic power painting and continues to interest viewers with her ever changing stylistic manner…

March 15, noon:

Performance «The Uprising of Hares» («Kiškių sukilimas», in Lithuanian) Vilnius Puppet Theatre «Lėlė» (http://www.teatraslele.lt/en/theatre/about_us), Arklių g. 5, Vilnius;

The solo performance «The Uprising of Hares» is a successful foray of director and artist Rimas Driežis into the rare hare show «Punch and Judy» by the traditional English puppet theatre. The poem by Kazys Binkis (1893-1942) attracts kids and adults alike. The play action takes place in the pre-war Kaunas: the hares burst into Kaunas theatre and require the opera star Kipras Petrauskas to stop hunting hares…

March 15, 6.30:

«Barbora Radvilaitė» is one of our most popular historical personalities. Withdrawn to her own intimate world of secret emotions and having no political aspirations, she still managed to create turmoil in the society of her day. The surviving letters of «Barbora Radvilaitė» reveal that she was probably the only woman in Poland and Lithuania that could lay her thoughts on paper with such intelligence and grace…

March 16, midnight:

Kaziukas Fair (Kaziukas Mugė), Laisvės Alėja, Kaunas;

Kaziuko mugė or Saint Casimir’s Fair (Polish: Kaziuk) is a large annual folk arts and crafts fair in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipėda, Lithuania, dating to the beginning of the 17th century. The fair is traditionally held in cities’ markets and streets. Today, Saint Casimir’s fair also features music, dance, theatre performances; it attracts tens of thousands of visitors and many craftsmen from across Lithuania as well as from neighbouring countries…

March 18, 9 pm:

Band «Polarizuoti stiklai», night club «Combo», Raudonvario plentas 107, Kaunas;

The legendary Lithuanian band will rock and send one into the frenzy of music and dance…

March 19, 7pm:

Performance «Vernal Equinox», Gediminas Hill Base, Vilnius;

The equinox of the spring – the time when the span of the day equals the night – is when the light equals the darkness. And the beginning is not possible without a ritual. Therefore, the Vilnius Ethnical Culture Centre invites everyone to gather into the valley of Šventaragis (extending from The Applied Art Museum to Cathedral square) and to light up the fire of the equinox of the spring…

March 19, 9 pm:

Band «Bonus», club «Juonis Pastuogė», Aušros al. 31, Šiauliai.

Lithuanian Folk Band «Bonus» is known for the ability to make the crowd swinging to the rhythms of the traditional music and getting one on the floor. The best traditional Lithuanian gourmet food will be available for those willing to satiate the hunger or test the yummiest titbits…

March 20, noon:

August’s construction costs declined by 0.4% in Latvia
