May 29-31:
The Third International Marco Scacchi Early Music Festival (Trečiasis tarptautinis Marco Scacchi ankstyvosios muzikos festivalis); the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania (Lietuvos Valdovų rūmai), (www.valdovurumai.lt/en), Katedros a. 3, Vilnius;
The early music festival of the founder of the first opera in Lithuania invites all to three outstanding concerts:
Ex Libris Gustav Düben, Anno 1641 Claviers Dialogues at the Times of Marco Scacchi, Per te Amor Love Aries at the Times of Marco Scaccci and Frangi Cupido i Dardi Neapolitican Aries for Alto and Bassp Continuo;
May 29- June 4:
Pažaislis Music Festival; Pažaislis Monastery (www.pazaislis.lt/en), E. Ožeškienės g 12, Pažaislis, Kaunas district;
Over these years, the festival has created deep traditions and became recognised even in the most distant corners of the country. This summer the music feast will introduce as much as 43 events held in traditional concert spaces in Kaunas city and its nearest districts, under the arks of Lithuanian Churches, in the halls and barns of the marvellous restored manors and other non-traditional spaces.
May 29, 7 pm:
Concert of Russian Pop Music Star Stas Michailov (Rusijos dainininko Staso Michailovo koncertas); «Švyturys» arena, Dubysos g. 10, Klaipėda;
The Russian pop music’s first-tier star Stas Michailov packs all the halls and the Klaipėda seaport’s main concert venue will not be an exception;
May 29- June 4:
Ceremony of the Trumpeter of Independence (Nepriklausomybės trimitinko ceremonija); Cathedral Square (Katedros aikštė), Gedimino pr. 1, Vilnius;
With less than year left until the 100th anniversary of the declaration of Lithuanian independence, Vilnius has launched a daily commemorative ceremony – until February 16, 2017, every evening at 19. 18 o’clock, the trumpet player, Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre professor Laurynas Lapė and his students play the composition «Dear Lithuania” from the window of the Palace of Lithuania’s Grand Dukes.
May 29- June 1:
Photography Exhibition «In Search of the City» (Fotografijos paroda «Ieškant Miesto»); Russian Culture Centre (Rusų kultūros centras) (www.rkc.lt/en), Bokšto g. 4, Vilnius;
The Russian Culture Centre invites all to the exhibition titled «In Search of the City» which consists of pictures taken by Regina Pečiulytė and Fikrat Salimov. The black and white pictures displayed focus upon nostalgic landscapes of Vilnius, mysterious courtyards there it seems that time had stopped decades ago, streets that seem to be known by all, but captured by the authors’ camera to reveal something new, citizens of Vilnius, the city which is resilient to time and its events that take place here and inevitably rush by to the past.

GJan Concert; Adform kiemelis (Adform yard), Rotušės a. 20, Kaunas;
The rising music star, Gajan, has just celebrated her 22th birthday, but she is one of few Lithuanian performers, who have been awarded a contract by international music powerhouses. Her hit «Not Afraid» was reviewed five million times and some of her other hits bask in immense popularity, too.
June 1-June 4:
Cinema under the Stars (Kino teatras po žvaigždėmis); the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania (Lietuvos valdovų rūmai) (www.valdovurumai.lt/en) Katedros a. 3, Vilnius;
Selected painstakingly, films under the open sky have moved to a new location, one filled with history – in the yard of the Palace of the Great Dukes of Lithuania.
