Gazprom: government's attitude endangers Latvia's 2012 discount
Latvian Gas has stepped into negotiations with Gazprom on the latter applying a gas discount in 2012. The Russian concern in turn assumes the result of these talks can turn out to be not as good as expected. It is because of the natural gas tax changes introduced by the government.

Foreign trade up 25.3% year-on-year

Latvian GDP expands 5.6% in Q2

Annual inflation hits 4.7% in Latvia
Compared to July 2011, the average consumer price level in August 2011 dropped 0.3%. Prices of goods fell 0.6%, while prices of services gained 0.2%, according to the Central Statistical Bureau.
