Monday, May 7

-The Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia reports about manufacturing production volumes in March 2012.

-The Jelgava wind tunnel, owned by Gaisa sporta sertifikācijas centrs, is to be sold in an auction.

-Citadele Bank Conference Hall holds a business idea contest for students studying chemistry and business.

-Representatives of the European Commission and of the International Monetary Fund come to Latvia with a supervisory mission.

-Minister of Economy Daniels Pavluts travels to USA with a working visit.

Tuesday, May 8

-Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Latvian Institute of International Affairs as well as Latvijas Dzelzceļš  (Latvian Railway) and Rīgas brīvosta (Riga free port) hold an international seminar in the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga about turning the Northern distribution network into a commercially beneficial trade route and the route’s possible effect on the development of Afghanistan and the country’s future.

-The Association of Commercial Banks of Latvia holds a press-conference, during which they plan to present a new macro-economic review. The President of this association Martins Bicevskis, DNB Bank economic and social issues expert Peteris Strautins and the head economist of Swedbank Martins Kazaks will participate in this event.

Wednesday, May 9
