Airlines from Singapore, Oman and Qatar will take part in a two-day aviation conference in Tallinn from May 20 to 22 to negotiate cooperation with Estonian Air.
Estonian Minister of Economic Affairs Juhan Parts recently signed aviation agreements with Singapore and Qatar, while a similar deal with Oman is also underway.
All three countries want to open new flight routes to Europe. Thanks to these international agreements, Tallinn may soon become one of the hubs in the air traffic between Asia and Europe, says Tero Taskila, CEO of Estonian Air.
Meanwhile, Erik Sakkov, board member of Tallinn Airport stresses that the airport has the capacity of servicing much more transit passengers than at present.
