Expert: England is the one rocking the EU boat

Europe is worried about the integrity of the European Union. But there is only one body currently rocking the boat – England, believes professor of the social sciences faculty of the University of Latvia, foreign policy expert Toms Rostoks.
He added in an interview to Latvian Radio that, he believes, that England is alone in its position after PM David Cameron’s announcement to hold a referendum on the country’s further membership in the EU.
In regard to Latvia, the expert notes that the country;s foreign political directions are long lasting, they are being worked on.
“The most important questions – Latvia’s preparation to join Eurozone, presidency in the EU, talks about the long-term EU budget and relations with other countries. It is also important to consider Latvia’s security, cooperation with USA and activities in NATO,” – says Rostoks.
It should be notes that the Saeima held the annual foreign policy debates on January 24. Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics reported on the country’s plans for the foreign policy and EU affairs during the debates.

I am German, don’t these people think the general public have views on this too..we also have brains..it effects all our lives….EU is a good thing….but countries have differnent views and needs. Brussels should not make decisions and laws on everything for every country…..some laws must remain within a country, so long as its in the best interest of the countries population. Its very simple really, Good on UK to point out the problems the EU has, and it does have problems. Cameron stated, he does not want to change things for Britain alone, but these would be sweeping changes for all EU countires to benifit from. But I am sure EU politians will twist things again as usual so they can carry on with their master plan! I always believed that in a democratic society views of individuals and people must be heard and considered, if the EU does’nt listen then, its quite simply not a democracy but an EU dictatorship!, and the general population will never have any say in anything. People vote in governments the governments work for the people, the same goes for the EU.
I say thanks to UK for bringing up this issue. EU is going in the wrong direction into federalism. Politicians and buraucrats have overtaken. Brussle sis like a Politburau. This will be the same as soviet.
