Most of Latvian residents believe the crisis is far from over
(No Ratings Yet)An absolute majority (79%) of economically active Latvian residents age 18 to 55 notes that, even though the government is optimistic about the economic situation in the country and claims that the economic crisis is overcome, they, personally, do not believe the crisis is overcome.
47% of Latvian residents definitely do not feel like the crisis is overcome; 32% of respondents are more inclined to think the crisis is not overcome than think that it is, reveals TNS survey conducted in cooperation with LVL television channel.
Only 17% agree with the government and believe that the crisis is overcome (2%- definitely agree, 15% – more inclined to believe).
4% of respondents have no specific opinion on this matter.

I think if the truth be known it would be higher. The government feed bullshit information to us, It amazes me that the government still tries to give an optimistic opinion about the crisis. I think they think the people of latvia live inside a bubble that is cut off from the outside world and thus don’t understand whats happening. They really beleive we are stupid. Anyone with any sense can clearly see whats happening and the dangers we all face in todays climate…so come on government, start being truthful about the economic situation and then maybe will will start to belive some of the things you tell us. Forget joining the Eurozone it will fail!!!
