The Louvre hosts a fashion show for the first time in history
(No Ratings Yet)For the first time in history, the Parisian Louvre hosts a fashion show. Tuesday, June 12, a fashion parade, demonstrating the latest collection of the Italian fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo, was held at the Denon gallery wing.
The Louvre’s administration allowed the Italian fashion house to organize a fashion show in the museum, because the Salvatore Ferragamo brand is the sponsor of the exhibition of the unfinished painting of Leonardo da Vinci -«The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne».
Massimilianto Giornetti, the Creative Director of the fashion house, noted that he was inspired by the aesthetics of the Louvre and the methods of work of French designers, Associated Press reports.
White and beige colours ruled the collection. Models presented dresses and suits, as well as handbags and boots made of snake skin.
