Domina Shopping centre in Riga has opened a special Christmas market. What is special about it is that goods on offer have all been produced by disabled people. More than 40 professional craftsmen representing disabled people from Riga, Dobele, Ogre, Ape, Jekabpils, Babite, Ropazi, Olaine, Cesis, Koknese and Adazi are taking part in this Christmas market. This event is organized by Disabled People and Low-income Pensioners Support Fund.
Visitor of this Christmas market will be able to purchase all kinds of knitted products (mittens, socks, hats, scarves, capes, blankets, rugs), painted objects, leather and knitted slippers and necklaces made from different materials. Other no less interesting goods include wooden toys, paintings made from natural materials, postcards and boxes for presents and gingerbread cookies.
This Christmas market is organized in Domina Shopping centre (Ieriku Street 3, Riga). It is open every day 10:00-21:00 and will continue until 30 December. On holidays, the market will be open 10:00-20:00 on 24 December and 12:00-20:00 on 25 December.
