It wasn’t all that long ago when the subject was female athletes, and the image was that of burly shot putters who ranked a ten on the strength scale and minus one on the attractiveness scale. That’s no longer the case. Some of the best female athletes in the world are incredibly attractive with beautiful faces, rock-hard bodies and an overpowering sex appeal.

The 2012 London Summer Olympics are just around the corner, and there a number of hot women who are expected to compete.

Lolo Jones, U.S.

This American hurdler will be one of the medal favorites at the London Olympics. Jones finished seventh in the 100 meter hurdles in Beijing in 2008, and that was a disappointing performance. She is anxious to make up for it this time around. She won the 2010 60 meter hurdles at the World Indoor Championships in Qatar, and her smile and great looks will make her one of the darlings at Olympics.

This superb gymnast is looking for a return engagement at the London Olympics after taking home five medals at the 2008 games, including a gold in the individual women’s all-around event. Liukin is well-named because she often has this nasty and memorable look when she is on camera. Her gymnast’s body is extremely pliable and relaxed at all times-the stuff of dreams.

Victoria Pendleton, England.

Pendleton took home a gold at the 2008 Olympics in sprint cycling, and competing in the Olympics in her home country has been a long-held dream. Pendleton is a stunning dark-haired beauty who is handy with a wrench-making her even hotter, since she can make her own repairs-and is motivated to win gold in her home country. “If I can win in London, it will feel like two gold medals,” Pendleton said.

Alona Bondarenko, Ukraine.

This stunning blond will remind casual tennis fans of Anna Kournikova because the two look like they could be sisters. Bondarenko is a more accomplished player, having been ranked as high as number nineteen in the world. She finished fourth in the women’s doubles event in 2008 and will be looking to medal in 2012.

Kerry Walsh and Misty May-Treanor, U.S.

Walsh and May-Treanor teamed up to win the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in beach volleyball. Walsh has an amazingly fit and lithe body, and she has appeared in TV series like “CSI: Miami” because the show’s producers know a stunning woman when they see one. She and May-Treanor will attempt to defend their gold medal at the London Olympics.

Hope Solo, U.S.

Solo, the goalie for the U.S. women’s soccer team, will be one of the most popular athletes at the Olympics. She has a stunning face with beautiful eyes and a model’s high cheek bones. She has a strong, powerful and gorgeous body, and her image will sell a lot of posters to her many fans.
