The Swedish police have arrested a “fat and aggressive” cat named Oscar for trespassing and food theft.

A family in Piteå took action after it spotted what it thought was a stray cat terrorizing its beloved felines.

So, they left out a cat trap and captured Oscar, reports The Local.

They then called the local police, who took the cat into custody.

Having taken the bully to the station, the police soon realized that he was no wild outlaw.

“It is a fat, well-groomed and well-cared for cat – it’s no stray cat,” said Erik Kummu of the Norrbotten police.

However, the cat still had to spend the night behind bars, with police waiting to see if an owner would show up.

The police told local papers that if no owner claimed Oscar, he would be put down.

On Sunday night, however, the cat-owner reclaimed the pet.
