-Meeting of Saeima committee for the investigation of Zolitude tragedy.

-Meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers Committee. During this meeting, officials will view addressing rules and then hold an expanded meeting to discuss the agreement protocol between the Cabinet of Ministers and Latvian Association of Local Authorities.

-Meeting of the Saeima Praesidium.

-Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma holds a meeting of the Coalition Parties Council.

Tuesday, 22 September:

-Meetings of Saeima standing committees:

Education, Culture and Science Committee reviews amendments to the Patents Law and Franchises Law;

Human Rights and Public Affairs Committee prepares amendments to the Asylum Law before the third reading;

Defence, Internal Affairs and Corruption Prevention Committee reviews proposals to limit ‘agreement wars’ in Latvia’s professional sports;

Social and Employment Matters Committee discusses the matter regarding real estate property located on Slokas street;

Public Administration and Local Government Committee prepares amendments to the Law on Pre-election Campaigns and Associations and Foundations Law.

-Meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Wednesday, 23 September:

-Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma travels to take part in a meeting of the European Council in Brussels, Belgium.

-Meetings of standing Saeima committees:

European Affairs Committee discusses the progress in using European funds in the 2007 – 2013 planning period;

Defence, Internal Affairs and Corruption Prevention Committee discusses the progress of realization of the Plan to combat and prevent organized crime in 2014-2016;

Social and Employment Matters Committee prepares amendments to the Sexual and Reproductive Health Law;

Budget-Finance Committee holds a meeting in the State Revenue Service;

Education, Culture and Science Committee discusses topical cultural matters;

Public Administration and Local Government Committee prepares amendments to the Law on Prevention of Conflict of Interest in Activities of Public Officials;

Meeting of the National Security Committee;

Meeting of the Committee for Long-term Development.

-Meeting of the parliamentary faction of the Union of Greens and Farmers.

Thursday, 24 September:

-Meeting of the Budget-Finance Committee. During this meeting, members of the committee will review drafts On Annual Accounts and Consolidated Annual Accounts, On Sworn Auditors and On the Market of Financial Instruments.

Friday, 25 September:

-Joint meeting of the Saeima European Affairs Committee and Saeima Committee for Long-term Development. During this meeting, members of the two committees will discuss the progress in the realization of European funds in the 2014-2020 planning period.

-Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma takes part in a meeting of the Foreign Investors Council in Latvia.
