Monday, May 7

- Meetings of the Committee of the Cabinet of Ministers.

-Meeting of the parliamentary faction of the Reform Party.

-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Saeima Ojar Kalnins and a group of deputies meet with the deputy of the assistant of the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Susan M. Elliott.

-President of Latvia Andris Berzins participates in the meeting of the Military Council.

The Commission on Defense, Internal Affairs and Corruption Prevention reviews amendments to the «Law of Personal Identification» and Saeima decision on the «Approval of the state defence concept» project.

The Commission on Public Administration and Local Government prepares amendments to the «Law of Pre-election Agitation» before the first hearing.

-A joint meeting of the Saeima Judicial Commission, Council of Justice and the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during which the «Pleas, reviewed by the European Court of Human Rights, that are based on the imperfection of national courts» reports will be read.

One of the first Art Nouveau buildings in Riga is falling apart
