-Meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers Committee. During this meeting, members of the committee will view the plan for the development of Cooperation Policy in 2016.

-Joint meeting of the parliamentary European Affairs Committee and Social and Employment Matters Committee.

-Meeting of the Saeima Praesidium.

-Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis hosts a meeting of the Coalition Parties Council.

Tuesday, 5 April:

-Meetings of standing Saeima committees:

Public Administration and Local Government Committee discusses possible changes to the Voters Register Law;

Defence, Internal Affairs and Corruption Prevention Committee prepares amendments to the Immigration Law in the third reading;

Social and Employment Matters Committee reviews the draft of the Law on Circulation of Tobacco Products, Plant Products for Smoking, e-cigarettes and liquids for them;

Human Rights and Public Affairs Committee discusses the rights and protection of interests of the child on the Internet;

Legal Affairs Committee prepares amendments to the Criminal Law in the second reading.

-Saeima holds a seminar titled ‘Opportunities and challenges of the European energy union – energy efficiency and renewable energy in Latvia.’

Wednesday, 6 April:

-President of Latvia Raimonds Vejonis meets with Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis.

-Prime Minister Mairs Kucinskis meets with Inguna Sudraba, head of To Latvia from the Heart, a delegation from the Ukrainian parliament and head of municipalities in Latgale.

-Meetings of the standing Saeima committees:

Parliamentary Inquiry Committee discusses topical matters related to activities of the Food and Veterinary Service;

Budget-Finance Committee reviews amendments to the Law on Management of Budgets and Finances, Customs Law, Law on State Revenue Service and the Law the Market of Financial Instruments;

Education, Culture and Science Committee reviews amendments to the Sports Law and Law on Scientific Activity Law;

Public Administration and Local Government Committee reviews amendments to the Law on State Administration Composition;

Legal Affairs Committee views amendments to the Law on Change of Spelling the Given Name, Surname and Nationality, Law on the Procedures for the Coming into Force and Application of the Criminal Law and the Law on the Alienation of Properties for Public Needs;

Defence, Internal Affairs and Corruption Prevention Committee discusses results of training and recovery of skills of soldiers in reserve;

Thursday, 7 April:

-Meeting of the European Affairs Committee. During this meeting, the committee will discuss Latvia’s official position on the Council of Ministers for Agriculture and Fisheries on 11-12 April.
