53% of Latvia residents say that Tallinn is the most tourist-friendly city in the Baltic states. Riga ranks the second (36%), but Vilnius the third (11%).
Asked what Riga should work on to be in the lead, 20% of the respondents single out tax cuts for the tourism sector so that it can offer more competitive prices, according to the passenger transport company Lux Express Group study.
Another 20% say that Riga should improve availability of information on tourism opportunities, while 18% feel that Riga needs more sightseeing objects that can be visited free of charge.
15% want stricter penalties for a variety of fraud, but another 14% believe that Riga needs to improve customer service.

Aboltina has been in bed with Lemsbergs for years. The way that she coerced her Unity party colleagues to vote for Lemsbergs UGF party was a national disgrace. This explains why Lemsbergs UGF has the presidentcy and the prime ministership when UGF only got 20% of the vote. And its no surprise that another crook, Slesers, wasn't far away. Latvian politics is rotten to the core.
