List of collections and their descriptions. Prepared by Riga’ Chamber for Fashion:

Arvils Linde

“The concept of MITAGO collection symbolically reflects the evolution of mankind, starting from animalistic, natural image that was developed and cleaned over the ages to the uniform style that reflects the attempts of science and human mind to gain the upper hand over primal instincts and nature.”

Eva Borherte

“Eva Borherte’s collection “Spotted land” consists of 7 female models who were inspired by Latvian and Kyrgizstan’s ethnography. Ideas for designs originate in Latvian, especially Kurzeme, national clothes. The materials used in the collection include wool, cotton, rayon and silk.”

Zane Poriete

“Designer Zane Poriete will demonstrate her “Still Life” collection at Riga Fashion Mood.”

“The collection of Halarah brand “Eastern perfume” is intended for women who are sensual, sophisticated and confident. Such women live in a world with fantasies and fairy tales. The collection includes materials like natural silk, tulle and pearls.”

Dana Jasinkeviča

“The “1/2 sweet” coat collection has its roots in the story of Alice in Wonderland. The collection is like a story about two completely different realities. One side of a designer coat has minimalistic tones. The other side is bright and attractive.”

Ērika Rudika un Elīna Gorjačkina

“The duo of these two designers presents their “Gismonda” collection. The idea was inspired by modernism – this art style is associated with fairy tales and mysticism. It displays fineness, lightness, sinuous shapes and natural forms. Every piece of clothing bears individual style.”

“Children’s clothing designer Hebe presents a collection that is manufactured from high-quality fabrics. Clothes of this collection have simplistic style. Clothes of this designer are fit to be worn by children indoors and outdoors, for all kinds of activities.”

“This brand’s spring/summer 2014 collection is dedicated to the clever and hard-working lady who nonetheless retains her femininity and high self-esteem. Clothes serve her, not the other way around. This collection was created to support women at work and during moments of recreation.”

“Petra brand collection was created for everyday adventures and festive events for girls aged 1 to teen age. Clothes of this collection were inspired by and created for children, girls to be exact. Models are simple and practical.”

Black Salt

“Spring/summer 2014 collection “Aist – a Good Choice for Childmaking” is inspired by people and natural order. Males are usually more vivid than females – this principle is also followed by this Black Salt men’s collection, whose clothes are adorned with provocative words.”

“Miime brand collection is inspired by modern design, high quality and practical elegance. The collection includes modern and comfortable jackets, pants, vests, skirts, t-shirts, knitwear and accessories.”

“ and designer Ingrīda Zābere offer a collection of cocktail dresses made from second hand and men’s jackets. “Break Fest” collection was largely inspired by the Hollywood film Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”
