In June rent market was as active as it was in May. Even though small, demand for apartments was diverse – residents were equally interested in single bedroom apartments and multiple bedroom apartments.

Managers and employees of international companies, international bank workers, foreign teachers and students remain the most active clients, who are interested in apartment renting, Ober-Haus reports.

Local clients are mostly interested in apartments within the price range of 210 to 430 EUR per month. Apartments without repairs, which can be bargained for a better rent price, are among the most sought for.

Rent prices did not change in June. New project building prices in the city centre very from 9 to 11 EUR per m2. In pre-war buildings – from 7 to 9 EUR per m2; in the quiet centre – from 8 to 10 EUR per m2.

An increased interest for apartments in Agenskals, Zepniekkalns, Imanta and Zolitude was noted in June. Demand for apartment rent in new project buildings is very high in this segment.

The most sought for districts of Riga are Pardaugava, Purvciems and Teika. Rent costs in this segment also did not change in June, and was 130 EUR per month for a one bedroom apartment; 180 EUR for a two bedroom apartment and 220 EUR for a three bedroom apartment.
