The Swedish Bar Association has issued a warning to the Swedish lawyer of WikiLeaks leader Julian Assange, according to a statement on June 9.

«The disciplinary board has decided to hand down a warning to (Björn) Hurtig. It was not a united decision,» Bar Association Secretary General Anne Ramberg informed the news agency AFP.

She says the warning comes after criticism expressed to him by an English judge, The Local reports.

Moreover, Ramberg also pointed out certain members of the disciplinary board wanted to issue Hurtig both a warning and a fine, but eventually he was given only a warning.

Also, she refrains from providing more details on the matter, adding, though, the warning will not play any role in Hurtig’s practising.
