Many countries have modern airlines that perform international flights, but some regional airlines use very old airplanes for domestic flights. Sweden has the oldest airline fleet in Europe; the average age of SAS airplanes is 12.7 years.

Aviation airline industry magazine has published the list of countries that have the oldest airplanes. Only those countries with the total number of airplanes does not exceed 100 daily active units are listed.

Some countries that have tens of airplanes are not on the list, such as: Congo, Peru, Kirghizstan, Angola, Serbia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kenya and Sudan, Travelnews.lv reports.
