Unknown perpetrator takes hostages in Toulouse

An unknown man, calling himself a member of the Al-Qaeda, took four people hostage in one of the banks of Toulouse, Western agencies report with reference to the French police.

According to sources in Paris and Toulouse, the man shot in the air, announced that he is part of Al-Qaeda and demanded a negotiator from a SWAT unit, BBC reports.

In March 2012, Mohammed Merah, who admitted that he trained at one of the Al-Qaeda terrorist camps in Afghanistan, opened fire in a Jewish school in, as a result of which three children and one rabbi died.
