There are more and more new accusations in Ventbunkers conflict on already explained and reviewed issues. Meanwhile, Ventbunkers representatives, including the Swiss attorney Rudolfs Meroni, emphasize that there is only one legitimate management board which Aleksejs Ovods has nothing to do with.

Baltic news, News from Latvia, BNN.LV, BNN-NEWS.COM, BNN-NEWS.RU According to the portal Pietiek.com, the State Police Riga Region Department has received another claim from Olegs Stepanovs and Olafs Berkis’ team accusing Ventbunkers Management Board of criminal actions. It states that JSC Ventbunkers Management Board Chairman Aleksejs Ovods wants to inform «about unlawful activities of Alvis Haze, Janis Haze and Diana Jukna in relation to LNT and JSC Ventbunkers».

BNN already reported that Latvia Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (CPCB) is currently reviewing an application on a bribe accepted by some Jurmala police inspector in order to initiate criminal proceedings and ban re-registration of decisions taken in AS Latvijas naftas tranzīts shareholders meetings.

There is a suspicion that the police officer may have acted in the interests of Ventspils businessman Olafs Berkis and other former opponents of Lembergs.

According to data of the Register of Enterprises, JSC Ventbunkers  in February, this year, registered its branch in Jurmala, 11 Dubultu boulevard. There is a well-grounded suspicion that such measures were taken in order to use Berkis’ team’s connections in Jurmala police.

Ventbunkers representatives again emphsize that in January this year the court nullified the false VBU shareholders meeting held on December 18th 2009.

Since this time, the shareholders that represent over 70% of VBU shares have not held any meetings that elected A. Ovods to any positions in VBU, LNT or any other companies in which the Latvian State General Prosecutors Office has asked R Meroni to oversee.

Any appointments A. Ovods claims to have are based on criminal activities of a minority group of shareholders led by Olafs Berkis and Orchestrated by Martins Kveps.

They add that even the Register of Enterprises continues to ignore that fact that according to commercial Law Aleksejs Ovods can not legally take a position on the Management Board of LNT.

The Positions held in Ventbunkers and LNT are as follows:

Ventbunkers

Supervisory Board:

Rudolfs Meroni – Supervisory Board Chairman

Aivars Gobins – Deputy Chairman

Gints Laivins Laivenieks – Deputy Chairman

Arita Linde and Diana Jukna – Supervisory Board members

Alvis Haze, Aivis Landmanis and Janis Haze – Management Board members

Latvijas Naftas Tranzits

Aivars Gobins – Deputy Chairman

Gints Laivins Laivenieks and Arita Linde – Supervisory Board members

Please do not let Arab Emirates’ potential investors know what a joke is the Latvian legal system for protection of commercial investments.

Otherwise, when the Premier will offer them to invest in airBaltic or other companies in Latvia, they will die for too much laughter.
