Walking Dead series fans vote for their favourite characters

Baltic news, News from Latvia, BNN.LV, BNN-NEWS.COM, BNN-NEWS.RUPeople around the world follow the Walking Dead series with great interest. The live-action series based on the graphic novels of the same name tell the story in which a handful of survivors desperately try to survive in a world overrun with the living dead who crave human flesh.

Results of a survey on undeadwalking.com portal offered fans to vote for their favourite characters to determine the most popular one:

5th place – Carol

Carol Peletier is one of the most beloved characters of this franchise for multiple reasons. When her only daughter dies after being bitten by a zombie, Carol becomes the sole survivor of her family. She becomes stronger as the series continue; she learns to handle firearms and gains medical knowledge with Hershel Green’s help. She is also the only female survivor left from the original group from Atlanta.

4th place – Glenn Rhee

Glenn is the fourth most beloved character of the series. He is the main scavenger of supplies from the original Atlanta group. Glenn has yet to kill a single human over the course of the series. He is also very supportive of his group and is prepared to sacrifice anything to make sure they are safe.

3rd place – Michonne

Michonne is only female character to make it to the top five, and who is not from the original Atlanta group. She is clever, strong and caring. She has a lot of skills and qualities that help Rick’s group.

2nd place – Rick

Rick Grimes is the second most beloved character. He is a brave police officer who has reluctantly taken up the role of the leader of the survivors. He does all he can to ensure the people he cares for survive. If something particularly horrible happens, Rick always manages to keep the group together and overcome any challenge.

1st place – Daryl Dixon

Daryl has a massive fanbase – he was voted 1st by 75% of participants of the survey. Daryl is a hunting, tracking and survival expert. Because of his survival skills, Rick Grimes considers him an important member of the group. Daryl is also the last surviving member of his family.
