Weekend destination: LMT Summer Sound in Liepaja

Festival –goers will be able to exchange their tickets for bracelets at Spice shopping centre in Riga throughout 27-29 July. It will be possible to exchange tickets for bracelets at Kurzeme shopping centre in Liepaja throughout 28-30 July.

LMT Summer Sound tent and camping ground will be open from 17:00 Thursday, 28 July to 15:00 Sunday, 31 July, organizers say.

When travelling to LMT Summer Sound festival from Lithuania, travellers should keep in mind road traffic restrictions on A11 route from Rucava to Nica. To ensure convenient travel time to the festival, an express bus has been organized. It will run from Riga to Liepaja at 18:00 on 28 July, as well as 09:00 and 16:00 on 29 July. The express bus will run to Riga at 09:00 and 13:00 on 31 July. The bus ticket price is EUR 8. Tickets can be bought from Biļešu Serviss.

All iPhone and Android users can access the free festival app, which provides access to the festival’s programme, information about participating artists, a map of the area, rules and FAQ.

It will be possible to follow this year’s festival using LMT Straume mobile television service.

This year’s most expected guests of the festival are German electronic folk music band Milky Chance, promising Belgian DJ Lost Frequences, charming English musician King Charles and Ukrainian rock legends Okean Elzy. A number of Latvian musicians will be attending the festival as well, including Carnival Youth, Ozols, Intars Busulis & Abonementa Orķestris, Rīgas Modes, Bermudu Divstūris, Dzelzs Vilks, Justs, Aija Andrejeva and others.

Tickets for the festival can be bought at Biļešu Serviss. Two-day tickets cost EUR 38 without a tent and EUR 45 with a tent.
