Monday, 6th of February:

-Meeting of the Crisis management Council, the Prime-minister will take part as well.

-Daumants Vitols, the largest shareholder and Rolands Gulbis, Chairman of the Board of NP Foods (management, trade, and logistics) will describe the company’s development plans for 2012 in Albert Hotel.

-Main Swedbank building will host the presentation of the research done by the Swedbank Institute of Private Finances and portal. The topic of the research –is «How the expectation of child birth affects family budget planning habits in Latvia?»

-The country’s President meets with members of the Strategic Development Commission.

-«Coaching Week» begins in Latvia.

-Ministry of Finance representative takes part in the meeting of the Board of European investment banks in Luxembourg.

Tuesday, 7th of February:

-The Riga exchange artistic museum building hosts the seminar of «How to start a business in Pakistan».

-Meeting of the Tax policy sub-commission of the Saeima Budget-Tax commission, during which the amendments to the «Law of the market of financial instruments» and the «Law of credit institutions will be discussed».

-Representatives of Latvia meet with investors from Europe and USA.

-Meeting of the Saeima commission of National economy, during which the proposals of the Minister of Economy to the «Construction bill» will be discussed.

-Prime-minister hosts a meeting of the government, during which among other issues the amendments to #662 «Order of excise goods turnover» rules of the Ministry Cabinet will be discussed.

Wednesday, 8th of February:

-Meeting of the Saeima commission of National economy, during which deputies will discuss the «Development of Latvian villages and problems linked with that» research.

-Meeting of the Saeima Budget-Tax commission, during which the amendments to the «Law of sworn inspectors» will be discussed.

– Central Statistical Bureau reports about the changes in consumer prices in January 2012 and monetary indexes, which indicate the disparity in income and poverty in Latvia in 2010.

– Vecpiebalga hosts the «Partnership of forest owners in acquiring and realizing energy rich wood» seminar.

-Minister of Agriculture meets with representatives of the Latvian industrial cannabis manufacturers, then with representatives of the society of mutual support of butchers and meat traders.

Valmieras stikla skiedra enterprise hosts a virtual conference for investors, shareholders and those interested in their activities in 2011 and plans for 2012.

-Businesswoman Marika Gederte gives a lecture on the topic of «Client mental types and sales technology» in Turiba University.

Thursday, 9th of February:

-The «Best Merchant of 2011» contest winner award ceremony takes place in the big hall of the Free Trade Union Confederation of Latvia.

– Central Statistical Bureau reports about a rapid evaluation of GDP in the fourth quarter of 2011; of the turnover of manufacturing industry; and of Latvian external trade in December 2011.

Stockholm School of Economics in Riga hosts the «Business with Russia: reality and myths» conference.

Friday, 10th of February:

-Latvian-Ukranian business forum takes place in Radisson Blu Daugava hotel

-Kipsala International Exhibition Centre opens the international tourist exhibition Battour 2012.
