IQ tests: women are smarter than men
It turns out that women are brighter than men, according to the latest research.
For the first time in the history of IQ testing, psychologists have found that female scores rise above those of men.
Since IQ testing began a century ago, women have always lagged some five points behind men, reports Forbes.
So far scientists have been blaming embedded genetic differences. But that gap has been narrowing in recent years and this year women have moved ahead, says James Flynn, author of the study.
“In the last 100 years the IQ scores of both men and women have risen but women’s have risen faster. This is a consequence of modernity. The complexity of the modern world is making our brains adapt and raising our IQ,” he stresses.
He points out that one possible explanation is that women’s lives have become more demanding as they have to find a balance between raising a family and doing a job.
Another is that women have always had a slightly higher potential intelligence than men, but they are only now realising it.
The study analysed IQ examination results from countries in western Europe and from the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Argentina and Estonia.

Wannabe big and powerful but still mentally so tiny little and scared of big world.

James Flynn, the researcher , announced only marginal difference of 0.5 IQ points which is not statistically significant. Recently, in a lecture, he has complained that the media has “distorted” his findings and has “gone beyond his claims”.
In fact this finding is a single finding among lots of other researches in the past few years( esp. after 2000) that show men are smarter than women about 4-5 IQ points after puberty. Examples are findings by Richard lynn, Dr. Rushton, Dr. Helmut Nyborg, etc.
