Аuthor: Edijs Pālens/LETAWednesday, April 4 to Sunday April 14, five Stockmann supermarkets in Moscow will be featuring the now traditional Crazy Days. During this period of questionable sanity, special advertisement stands will be set up in the supermarkets to popularize Jurmala.

Anyone interested will be able to enquire workers of Jurmala City Council’s Tourism and Foreign Communications department about leisure, health and other notable events of the resort city, the city council reports.

The stands will be offering health and Spa trips to Jurmala in the summer and autumn periods for especially economic prices. Trips will be offered on behalf of Jurmala Tourism Information branch in Moscow – the AB CLUB and Baltik Servis tourism agencies.

“This is the first time for Jurmala to participate in such an event. We are certain this initiative will benefit Jurmala. It will not be easy, because supermarkets experience a massive increase in visitors during discount campaigns. It will be a great opportunity to present recovery, relaxation and spa resort facilities. We believe this step is a very advantageous form of presentation – a supermarkets is just the kind of place to find plenty of potential tourists”, – Tourism and Foreign Communications department manager Gunta Upsele notes.

It should be added that Jurmala is part of the popularization plan carried out by Stockmann: regular clients are being sent fliers with offers and advertisement catalogues. Information about leisure opportunities in Jurmala is being actively published on the internet as well.

Jurmala City Council plans to repeat this event during Stockmann‘s autumn campaign of Crazy Days. It is also planned to extend cooperation with other foreign branches of Stockmann.
