Prime Minister: Finance Ministry may unveil an offer for tax change in February

At the beginning of February Latvian Finance Ministry may unveil its prepared tax system improvement plan offer, as confirmed by Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš in an interview to TV3 programme 900 seconds on Wednesday, 15 January.

Next year onward schools in Latvia will start adopting changes to teaching approach

Starting with 1 September 2020, gradual changes will be added to teaching materials and approach in 1st, 4th and 10th grades in all of Latvia’s schools, as reported by State Education Content Centre representative Liene Bērziņa.

Audit: higher education reform in Estonia fails to yield results

Estonia’s National Audit Office’s report shows that the transition to free higher education and other associated reforms implemented in 2013 have failed to yield tangible results, as reported by Estonian public media ERR.
